The Franco-Indian Campus project of Université Côte d'Azur was selected by the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Higher Education and Research, Campus France, and the Indian Embassy in France. The project's objectives include the creation of a joint master's degree, a transdisciplinary and intersectoral doctoral academy and an entrepreneurship and intrapreneurship program in the field of digital biosciences and innovation.

Considering the opportunities and challenges that a Franco-Indian collaboration represents in terms of scientific and academic cooperation, Université Côte d'Azur has undertaken several actions since 2017 to strengthen its relations with India. The development of a Franco-Indian Campus with an outreach throughout the Indian and Pacific region is a logical continuation of previous collaborations.

Key features of the Franco-Indian Campus:
•    Four main partners: three multidisciplinary institutions (Université Côte d'Azur, Ashoka University, IISc) and a specialized institution to strengthen the focus on digital and health issues (IIIT-Delhi).
•    Three geographical areas, each developed around a strong technology hub: Delhi, Nice Sophia Antipolis and Bangalore.
•    A network of associated partners: national research institutes, incubators, clusters, hospitals and companies driven by the same ecosystemic vision of establishing a continuum between education, research and innovation.
