A new range of courses, the widespread introduction of AI training and the development of lifelong learning are the major innovations proposed by Université Côte d'Azur for the new 2024-2025 academic year.

Deployment of the new training offer: transversality and customization of courses

Following a very positive evaluation by the HCERES of the courses deployed since 2018, Université Côte d'Azur was accredited in June 2024 to offer a new range of national degrees, with 300 courses in Bachelor's, BUT Master's, Doctorate and Health. This new offering is enriched by new pathways focused on the professions of the future (particularly in the fields of ecological transition and creative industries) and by an increase in the transversality of pathways enabling students to build fuller, more personalized pathways by accessing the skills of the future in the form of minors or certifications, particularly around entrepreneurship and artificial intelligence.

A French AI School for the Côte d'Azur - EFELIA

Linked to the 3IA network, EFELIA is a state-supported Compétences et Métiers d'Avenir project, which aims to develop training in Artificial Intelligence at all levels (AI specialists or users). EFELIA offers an extensive menu of training courses, which can be adapted or co-constructed, and creates tailor-made programs for local companies (workshops, conferences, training courses, etc.).

Since the project was launched, 1,150 hours of awareness-raising and training have been carried out. To date, nearly 8,000 people, including some 6,000 students and 2,000 professionals, have been trained.

UniCA OnLine for lifelong learning

The aim of this new system is to offer 100% distance learning short courses, designed to meet the expectations and constraints of professionals, offering them maximum flexibility. They enable learners to train without geographical or time constraints, making access to lifelong learning more accessible. By offering high-quality training courses, Université Côte d'Azur intends to position itself as a major player in distance learning, capitalizing on its expertise and offering attractive, immersive and accessible courses.

Internationalizing student career paths

In order to support and encourage new forms of international experience such as hybrid mobility, virtual mobility and all types of activities linked to the internationalization of the student pathway, Université Côte d'Azur offers bachelor's and master's students the opportunity to internationalize their training pathway. The aim is to give a framework and recognition to the “internationalization” of the student pathway, and to encourage more students to embark on “international experiences”, whether through “classic” mobility, new types of mobility or other internationalization experiences within or outside the curriculum.

By obtaining a Bachelor's and a Master's level “My international experiences at UniCA” certificate, students can make their “international” career path more coherent and more attractive to future employers. This certificate will also enable students to stand out in a competitive environment such as that of the “MonMaster” platform, as well as boosting their employability. These mobility programs can be carried out within the framework of the Ulysseus European University, of which Université Côte d'Azur is a founding member.
