7th IEEE International Internet of Sounds Symposium: The Internet of Sounds at the Heart of Research and Innovation

From October 28 to 30, 2026, Université Côte d’Azur will host the 7th IEEE International Symposium on the Internet of Sounds at the Georges-Méliès campus in Cannes. Researchers and industry professionals will gather there to explore new technologies related to sound, computer music, and the Internet of Things.
This international conference focuses on the technologies, algorithms, and applications used to process, transmit, and utilize sound in connected environments. It brings together the worlds of research and industry to discuss developments in the Internet of Sound. The event is under the general direction of Luca Turchet (University of Trento) and counts Michel Buffa (i3S) and Jean-François Trubert (CTELA) of Université Côte d’Azur among its Executive Co-Chairs.
With the support of the RISE Academy, this year’s event is taking place at the Georges-Méliès campus, a site dedicated to the creative industries and image and sound technologies. Its Dolby Atmos studios and research facilities provide a setting particularly well-suited to this convergence of creation, research, and innovation.
