Over the past decade, mindfulness has experienced rapid growth, both in sports, where it is used as a mental preparation technique, and in scientific research, where it is a subject of study in its own right. This conference offers a detailed overview of the research demonstrating its effectiveness on athletes' performance and health.

Date: Wednesday, January 28, 2026
Time: 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Location: Radel Lecture Hall - Plaine du Var campus
Audience: Students and staff

Conference theme: When attention makes the difference: mindfulness, performance, and athlete health
This conference, led by Marjorie Bernier (Professor at the University of Brest and Performance Psychology Consultant), will present programs and intervention strategies developed in various sports contexts and evaluated in research studies, aimed at integrating mindfulness into athletes' training and daily lives.
Through these examples, empirical results, and feedback (endurance running, fencing, soccer, golf, etc.), the aim is to show how attention to the present moment can be considered a lever for sustainable performance.

Participation is free and open to all!
