Supported by the Université Côte d’Azur’s IdEx Innovation Program, the deep tech startup ExAdEx-Innov has just been granted a patent in the United States—further recognition of its innovative technology for ex vivo human tissue models.

Stemming from research conducted within the Université Côte d’Azur ecosystem (Institute of Biology—iBV), ExAdEx-Innov develops ex vivo human tissue models intended primarily for the pharmaceutical, cosmetics, and biotechnology sectors.

This new milestone marks a significant step forward in the startup’s international expansion and further strengthens its intellectual property portfolio.

This success illustrates the impact of the IdEx Innovation Program, which supports researchers and deep-tech projects originating from Université Côte d’Azur laboratories as they transition from research to innovation and business creation. ExAdEx-Innov has notably received IdEx funding through the Start-Up DeepTech and Innovation Partnership calls for proposals.

A fine example of transforming a scientific innovation into a protected technology that is being commercialized internationally.
