Fondation Université Côte d'Azur annual awards ceremony

On June 3 at the Maison de l'Etudiant, the Fondation Université Côte d'Azur's awards ceremony honored students who stand out for their exceptional achievements.

74 prizes - ranging in value from €1,000 to €10,000 - were awarded, divided into several categories:

• Art, Culture and Creativity: 5 prizes for students who have excelled in the fields of art, culture and innovation, whether through music, visual arts or other forms of expression.
• Equal opportunities: 27 awards to highlight the commitment of students who have overcome obstacles and difficulties to gain access to higher education.
• UniCA junior: 7 prizes to promote access to higher education for the most promising middle-school students from schools in the priority education network or similar.
• Student entrepreneurship: 6 prizes to help student entrepreneurs boost their business projects.
• Disability: 7 prizes for students who have overcome the obstacles associated with their disability to achieve academic success.
• High-Level University Sport: 14 prizes for students who have excelled in both sport and academics.
• Thesis: 8 awards to recognize the research excellence and outstanding contributions of doctoral students in their fields of study.

Committed passers-by and companies

The awards were presented in the form of a relay, via various personalities and students who had received the prizes in the past.Pauline Cotinat, doctoral student at the Institut de recherche sur le cancer et le vieillissement in Nice, Antoine Borello, French high bar champion, harpist Antinea Mira and many others.
