Led by Université Côte d’Azur, the MED’INNOV University Innovation Hub (PUI) is strengthening its ties with the business community. On September 11, 2026, at the Pôle Alpha in Sophia Antipolis, MED’INNOV and Telecom Valley signed a partnership agreement to accelerate the transfer of innovation and the development of deep tech on the French Riviera.
A Partnership Dedicated to Technology Transfer and Innovation
The agreement signed between MED’INNOV and Telecom Valley strengthens the ties between research and the business world. In particular, it aims to facilitate the transfer of technologies from laboratories to companies, support the creation and development of innovative startups, and foster new collaborations around emerging technologies and deep tech.

For Thierry Benmussa, Co-president of Telecom Valley, this collaboration responds to the need to strengthen partnerships between companies developing emerging technologies and research actors: "The PUI were created notably with this goal in mind—to bring together stakeholders dedicated to this approach of collaborative growth, and Telecom Valley therefore had to integrate this initiative."
The signing took place during an event dedicated to MED’INNOV’s strategic priorities, bringing together founding members, partners, and key players in the innovation ecosystem. Discussions continued during the “Afterwork” event for Technology Transfer and Innovation Officers, organized in collaboration with Recherche et Avenir and the RUE (University-Business Partnership) initiative, focusing on new opportunities for collaboration between academic and business stakeholders.
