Organised as part of UNOC3, which is being held in Nice from 09 to 13 June 2025, the conference will address a range of issues relating to the health of the oceans.

Showcasing examples of French and Costa Rican projects, the event will explore how universities contribute to ocean governance by bringing scientific expertise to public policy and strengthening the science-policy interface. Beyond engaging youth and training future leaders, universities co-develop science-based solutions through local to international cross-sectoral collaborations rooted in real-world challenges. The event will start with an opening session on Costa Rica’s unknown treasures.
