"En Route pour la COP Climat" : mobilisation pour la COP30 à Belém
Université Côte d'Azur, with the support of its Excellence Initiative, is stepping up its commitment to the fight against climate change with the third edition of En Route pour la COP Climat. From October to December 10, 2025, the student and academic community will be mobilizing through a series of events on campus, while a University delegation travels to Belém to represent science on the international stage.
A new stage in the University's international commitment to combat climate change at COP
As an observer organization to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) since 2021, Université Côte d'Azur is actively involved in the multilateral negotiation process on climate issues. A delegation of seven representatives is taking part in official COP30 events in Belém, providing scientific input and working to strengthen the influence of universities and science at the COP.
This year, Université Côte d'Azur is taking a new step forward: From being a partner of the Science for Climate Action Pavilion, it is now one of the co-organizers, alongside the MERI Foundation, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and theWorld Meteorological Organization (WMO). This recognition of the University's commitment strengthens its position, voice and impact in the fight against climate change and its consequences.
