Recently published research demonstrates the introduction and consideration of effective nonlinear effects in quantum mechanics. This work, led by Gilbert Reinisch of the Observatoire de la Côte d'Azur, allows direct interaction between eigenstates, and hence the existence of induced transitions between these states.
"This upcoming research is a real scientific challenge, and I'm always interested in hearing from researchers who might be interested," says Gilbert Reinisch, volunteer researcher at the Observatoire de la Côte d'Azur, former CNRS Research Director and author of the published work.
