Built around 5 major themes, the new "Sustainable Development and Corporate Social Responsibility" (SD and CSR) master plan reinforces Université Côte d'Azur's commitment to environmental and societal transition.
A priority in the University's strategic plan
Université Côte d'Azur places socio-environmental transition at the heart of its mission, and has made it a strategic priority in its 2021-2025 strategic plan. The creation of a vice-presidency dedicated to socio-environmental transition and a Sustainable Development and Social Responsibility master plan demonstrate the university's active contribution to the challenges of sustainable development and social responsibility. Université Côte d'Azur is fully aware of the urgency of climate change and the high expectations of society, and is fully committed to the socio-environmental transition. The launch of this first Sustainable Development and Social Responsibility Master Plan is an essential lever for strengthening our impact and mobilizing our entire community.Together, we are committed to meeting major environmental and societal challenges, to innovating and to transforming our campuses into veritable living laboratories for sustainable development.Jeanick BRISSWALTER, President of Université Côte d'Azur
The 5 main thrusts of the SD and CSR master plan
Focus 1: Strategy and governance
Strengthen management capabilities
Strengthen the community's sense of self-determination and develop participation and consultation
Encourage changes in practices towards more responsible approaches
Axis 2: Education and training
Provide the most comprehensive training possible in transition issues
Support and stimulate the teaching community
Build the means for a strong community committed to the issues at stake
3: Research and innovation
Commit to responsible research
Supporting and stimulating the research community
Area 4: Environment
Amplify the diagnostic process to gain a full understanding of our current situation
Develop approaches in favor of the environment
Encourage the emergence of new practices
Area 5: Social responsibility and quality of university life
Promote sustainable health and quality of university life
Maintain and increase inclusion, equal opportunities and the fight against discrimination
Anchor our role for and towards society by improving stakeholder engagement
Five years to act and build the University of tomorrow
This plan is defined for a five-year period. It will also be regularly reviewed in 3 stages:
monitoring of actions and production of a scorecard showing progress in achieving objectives ;
integration of new initiatives, and/or reinforcement of existing actions based on initial feedback and commitment from the community;
broader consultation and more extensive co-construction, with greater involvement of the various players in this transition.
