Nice Science Festival 2026: Science Is a Delight in Nice!

The Nice Science and Innovation Festival, organized by Université Côte d’Azur in partnership with the City of Nice, will hold its 8th edition on Friday, October 2, for schoolchildren, and on Saturday, October 3, and Sunday, October 4, 2026, for the general public.
From October 2 to 4, 2026, the Nice Science Festival returns to the Albert 1er Garden for its 8th edition. Organized by Université Côte d’Azur, in partnership with the City of Nice and the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis, the event is free and open to everyone.
This year, the spotlight is on “Saveurs Savantes”: researchers, science outreach organizations, museums, public agencies, and local businesses invite people of all ages to discover scientific research in a fun, interactive, and friendly way.
A weekend to explore science in a new way
On Saturday, October 3, and Sunday, October 4, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., the general public can enjoy numerous booths, workshops, and lectures covering various scientific disciplines.
The festival will kick off on Friday, October 2, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. with “La Nuit de la Science” (Science Night), a special opening event at the Albert I Garden. The program includes a banquet celebrating the arts and sciences, à la carte theater performances by the Les Collectionneurs theater company, and tastings inspired by research conducted by scientists on the French Riviera.

A Day Dedicated to Schoolchildren
On Friday, October 2, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., fifth-grade, middle school, and high school students can participate in science workshops specially designed for them.
Highlights of the program include: philosophy, migration, archaeology, and learning about our ancestors, as well as activities focused on mathematics, chemistry, geosciences, biology, and “Saveurs Savantes.” In the afternoon, classes can also attend a custom-designed theater performance featuring researchers.
School registration is required and will be open from September 1 through 13, 2026. Final confirmation of participation will be sent by email during the week of September 14.
