On July 16, 2026, in Aix-en-Provence, during the signing of the Objectives, Resources, and Performance Agreements (COMP) for the four universities in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region, in the presence of Philippe Baptiste, Minister of Higher Education, Research, and Space, Université Côte d’Azur took another step forward in the implementation of its strategic plan.

To establish itself as a university that brings together knowledge, stakeholders, and regions—one that is transdisciplinary and internationally oriented, capable of transforming knowledge into solutions that make a significant impact on society: this is the vision set forth in the 2026–2030 Contract for Objectives, Resources, and Performance (COMP).
Jeanick Brisswalter , President of Université Côte d’Azur

This ambition is structured around three priority strategic directions:

  1. Education and Student Life: a diverse, flexible, and international program of study, aligned with major societal challenges (AI, transitions, health, entrepreneurship, etc.), and grounded in employability and the needs of the region.
  2. Research and Innovation: a scientific identity based on six major areas: AI and digital technology, socio-environmental transition and risks, health and aging, Earth and Universe sciences, quantum science and innovative materials, and cultural and creative industries.
  3. Governance and Management: a sustainable economic model, data-driven management, simplification, and AI, all in the service of responsible management of human resources and assets

A shared ambition guides this contract: impact

Scientific, socio-economic, regional, and societal—this impact serves as the guiding principle for Université Côte d’Azur’s project over the next five years.

This COMP constitutes a shared strategic framework that will enable Université Côte d’Azur to continue its development, strengthen its academic and scientific excellence, and transform knowledge into solutions that benefit society.
