To mark the 30th anniversary of Danang University (Vietnam), Professor Jeanick Brisswalter, President of Université Côte d'Azur, was invited to take part in a series of events highlighting the fruitful partnership between the two universities.

On November 8, 2024, as part of the international scientific conference "Sustainable Development of Universities: Opportunities and Challenges ", promoted by Danang University (UDN), the DNIIT - UDN Institute of International Technology organized an international conference entitled "Smart Cities: Experience and Innovation" (ISSCEI - 2024) and the international final of the Smart Campus Asia-Pacific 2024 (SCAPA -2024) competition.

On this occasion, Jeanick Brisswalter took part in two high-profile round tables, the first dedicated to sustainable university development, and the second focusing on the role of universities in promoting green technologies for smart cities. Alongside the Ambassador of the European Union to Vietnam and representatives of international partner universities, these exchanges provided an opportunity to share perspectives on the future of connected, eco-responsible campuses.

In addition, a delegation of law professors from Université Côte d'Azur took part in a seminar on the theme of law and smart cities, demonstrating our institution's commitment to innovative cross-disciplinary projects.

The partnership between Université Côte d'Azur and Danang University was also showcased at the Asia Pacific Smart Campus Competition (SCAPA 2024), organized by the Danang Institute of International Technology (DNIIT). For several years now, the DNIIT, co-led by our university in collaboration with the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF), has been promoting the use of new technologies, notably artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things (IoT) and LoRaWAN networks.

The project was praised for its inclusive approach and societal impact. The two winning students will receive scholarships to pursue their research and meet with Université Côte d'Azur experts.
