The FICCTION project, winner of the "Culture" award from France 2030, is a strategic lever for companies in the Cultural and Creative Industries (CCI). By strengthening the match between training and market needs, it offers economic players an innovative framework for developing their skills and boosting their competitiveness.

On January 30, 2025 in Cannes, the FICCTION project - Fédération des Industries Culturelles et Créatives pour un Territoire de l'Innovation et de l'Orientation - was officially launched in the presence of key institutional and economic partners. This ambitious project, spearheaded by Université Côte d'Azur and coordinated by the Campus des Métiers et des Qualifications Excellence ICC PACA, aims to respond to changes in the cultural and creative sector by developing a training offer tailored to current and future business challenges.

A project to boost business competitiveness

The ICC sector is constantly evolving, marked by digital transformation and the diversification of know-how. In response to these challenges, FICCTION offers a structuring framework enabling companies to strengthen their market position through :

  • targeted skills development: by including professionals in training courses (masterclasses, seminars, partnerships), the project encourages the emergence of immediately operational talent.

  • strategic support : partner companies benefit from regional and sectoral intelligence, enabling them to anticipate changes in the skills and professions required.

  • flexible, tailor-made training : modular courses enable professionals to acquire the specific skills they need to meet new market demands.

An innovation ecosystem at the service of economic players

With the creation of 27 new training courses and the equipping of 4 cutting-edge technological platforms, FICCTION is structuring an unprecedented innovation network within the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region. Among its major assets:

  • infrastructures of excellence, such as the BTS Carnot facility with a 4K control room, the Campus Méliès in Cannes and the SATIS cluster in Aubagne;

  • an immersive teaching approach based on project-based learning and the use of the latest technological innovations (virtual reality, motion capture, AI applied to cultural creation, etc.);

  • a strong local presence , enabling local companies to become actively involved in training the talents of tomorrow, and to co-construct the skills of their future employment basin.

A strong partnership dynamic

FICCTION relies on a network of 76 public and private operators, including leading companies such as Provence Studios and Adastra Films. By joining the consortium, these companies are playing an active role in building a benchmark cluster for training and innovation in the CCI sector. Thanks to the support of the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations, the Banque des Territoires and the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur Region, the Campus des Métiers et des Qualifications d'Excellence ICC PACA is establishing itself as a key player in regional economic development.
By fostering the emergence of a dynamic and competitive industry, FICCTION positions the region as a European leader in cultural and creative production.
