On Friday, July 11, 2025, Université Côte d'Azur and the Délégation Militaire Départementale (DMD) des Alpes-Maritimes signed a partnership agreement on the Valrose campus in Nice, with the aim of developing synergies between academia and the Ministry of the Armed Forces.
The signing of this agreement marks a shared desire to promote the discovery of military careers and reservist status among students at the Université Côte d'Azur, and in particular those at its 'Law, Political Science and Management' University Research School. The agreement provides for a series of joint educational and event initiatives over the next three years.
Collaboration structured around shared projects
Through this partnership, the DMD and Université Côte d'Azur are committed to working together to :
raise students' awareness of defense careers through conferences, visits and exchanges with military professionals ;
participate in career forums organized by the university;
disseminate offers of internships, work-study programs and jobs with the Ministry of the Armed Forces;
organize joint events designed to strengthen links between the academic world and that of the Ministry of the Armed Forces.
The university will make its facilities available to host these initiatives, and will facilitate their integration into students' career paths, in particular within the 'Law, Political Science and Management' University Research School (Faculty of Law and Political Science).
Opening up new career prospects
This partnership is fully in line with Université Côte d'Azur's mission to support its students in building their professional future, by enabling them to discover a wide range of careers. It also reflects the Délégation Militaire Départementale's commitment to reaching out to young people and promoting the role of the armed forces in society.
The agreement is for three years, with the possibility of renewal.
"This partnership with the Délégation Militaire Départementale illustrates our commitment to opening up the university to the professional world, in all its diversity. It offers our students an invaluable opportunity to discover the world of defense, to become involved as reservists, and to enrich their careers through practical experience. I am delighted by this collaboration, which reflects our shared commitment to transmission, civic engagement and excellence. "Jeanick Brisswalter, President of Université Côte d'Azur
"This partnership with Université Côte d'Azur embodies our shared desire to build solid bridges between generations, institutions and vocations. By forging lasting links between the university community and the armed forces, we are working to prepare our young people to meet the challenges of tomorrow, with lucidity, commitment and determination. This partnership opens up a fruitful dialogue between civilians and the military, between academic knowledge and field experience. It is also a promise to transmit, together, the fundamental values of our Republic: the sense of duty, the spirit of defense, and the taste for commitment. I would like to thank the Dean and all the teaching and student teams for their confidence. Rest assured that DMD 06 will remain fully committed to this shared adventure. Together, let's continue to nurture an informed, inquisitive and forward-looking youth" Colonel Gwennola COLLÉTER, Military Delegate for the Alpes Maritimes.
