As exam periods approach, it is important to remember that certain practices constitute academic dishonesty. Committed to the principles of integrity, fairness, and academic excellence, Université Côte d'Azur is raising awareness among all its students through a campaign shared across its communication channels, aimed at preventing academic dishonesty and highlighting its risks and consequences.
During recent sessions, instances of academic dishonesty have increased across all academic levels. To help students avoid making mistakes, Université Côte d'Azur highlights five high-risk situations, illustrated by visuals displayed on campus and online:
Unauthorized use of artificial intelligence
Impersonation
Digital cheat sheets
Plagiarism
Sharing information between candidates
Key takeaway: Cheating always has consequences.
In the event of fraud or attempted fraud, students are subject to disciplinary sanctions that may include:
cancellation of the exam or the session,
expulsion from the exam room,
or even expulsion from the institution.
Beyond the penalties, cheating undermines the value of the degree and personal commitment.
