Would you like to take up a creative and scientific challenge? Take part in a Scientific Mediation Creation Day on April 25 on the Valrose campus in Nice, and contribute to the creation of scientific mediation tools!
Organized in collaboration with the association Les Petits Débrouillards, the Science Azur Hackathon aims to design playful prototypes (games, applications, interactive objects, etc.) for use at the next Fête de la Science and other scientific events.
Why take part?
- Collaborate with students with a wide range of skills: communication, programming, design, science...
- Imagine and buildinnovative tools to better understand scientific concepts.
- Receive funding of up to €2,500 to develop selected prototypes.
- Experience an intense and enriching day, full of creativity and challenges!
How does it work?
- 8 teams of 8 people work on 8 scientific themes proposed by University researchers, such as Marine Optics, Conservation of Cultural Heritage, Particle Physics, Time Measurement, the Carbon Cycle.
- No need to be an expert! All talents are welcome : whether you're curious, creative, a tinkerer or a science enthusiast, there's a place for you!
The day's program
- 8:00-8:45: Welcome & coffee
- 8.45am-9.30am: Presentation of themes
- 9:30am-4:00pm: Team work
- 4:00 pm: Presentation of projects
- 17h30-18h00: Jury deliberation and results
