PRIX Pepite - Les lauréats des prix PEPITE 2023

Thanks to UniCA Entreprendre, Université Côte d'Azur stimulates the entrepreneurial spirit of its students and researchers to strengthen its territorial impact and promote professional integration.

Opening in November 2021, UniCA Entreprendre is the entrepreneurial center dedicated to raising awareness, teaching and supporting entrepreneurship at Université Côte d'Azur. It is aimed at the University's students, doctoral students, researchers and staff.

In addition to raising awareness of entrepreneurship, the center provides expertise and resources for business start-ups and the development of innovation-related skills. With the support of the Excellence Initiative, the center has rapidly become a catalyst for the development of cross-disciplinary entrepreneurial skills, helping students to flourish and strengthen their integration into the world of work.

Raising awareness of entrepreneurship

A large proportion of the region's students are aware of entrepreneurship, and 9,000 students have taken part in 121 events in 3 years. A wide range of events to discover entrepreneurship through Creathons, Café Entrepreneuriat, conferences and immersive experiences.

Students supported and trained

286 student-entrepreneurs with selected start-up projects have been supported (+40% compared to 2022-2023). These students have taken part in our bootcamps, themed workshops and mentoring programs with experienced entrepreneurs. All are supported by our partners (Incubateur PCA, BGE, French Tech, etc.).

UniCA Entreprendre also facilitates access to project financing with the support of the UniCA Foundation and the PEPITE network.  University entrepreneurship is distinguished from other schemes by its unique link to research: student projects with a scientific scope are appraised and mentored by top researchers.
231 students and PhD students were trained directly in 2023-2024.

International programs

International programs such as High Tech Entrepreneurship, Ulysseus Entrecamp and Innovation for Entrepreneurship enabled students to discover effective entrepreneurship and Open Innovation methods. 122 students took part in UniCA Entreprendre's entrepreneurial programs, including 44 participants in the Ulysseus program.

In 2025, the development of acculturation and entrepreneurial training programs, as well as support for business start-ups, will have 3 objectives:
Targeting the cross-disciplinary skills of the future via entrepreneurship, and ensuring that these training programs are consistent with the University's career paths;
Making the UniCA Entreprendre offer accessible on all campuses;
Enhancing the skills of entrepreneurial support through thematic adaptation and a path of excellence projects;
