Université Côte d'Azur attaches great importance to the physical and psychological health of its students, as well as to their well-being, thanks to a number of measures that have been or will be put in place during the new academic year.
Facilitating access to health for students
Université Côte d'Azur attaches great importance to the physical and psychological health and well-being of its students. Since March 2022, Université Côte d'Azur's university health center has been facilitating access to health care for the university's students. Consultations take place by appointment by telephone, doctolib or in person, and walk-in slots are also reserved. Consultations are free of charge. The multidisciplinary team continues to expand, offering consultations in general medicine, sports medicine, gynecology, nutrition and psychological support.
Université Côte d'Azur is also active in the field of prevention, offering stress management workshops, prevention initiatives, HIV prevention stands and sexual health villages on a regular basis on campus. More than 30 prevention initiatives have been organized on the various Université Côte d'Azur campuses, benefiting some 3,000 students. Promotional activities linked to healthy sports are also in place, including stands promoting physical activity and sports for patients at health centers. In response to the strong demand for training in this area, the Health Center team provided Mental Health First Aid training for some 80 students and 50 staff from the Université Côte d'Azur.
“Ma santé durable” to improve student well-being
As part of its health policy, Université Côte d'Azur is implementing an action plan to improve student well-being, in line with the Schéma Directeur de la Vie Etudiante (axis 5) and the “Université sans Tabac” initiative led by the Institut Hospitalo-Universitaire RespiRera, which will be awarded the label in 2022.
This plan includes existing actions (stress management workshops, nutritional advice, psychological follow-up, etc.) and new initiatives (fight against sedentary lifestyles, active breaks, tobacco-free campus).
A development is planned to create a health promotion platform, “Ma santé durable UniCA”, in line with the national public health objectives for 2025.
Objective: To promote student well-being by offering various services and resources via the “My UniCA Sustainable Health” platform, enabling students to follow a personalized path based on their health and prevention needs. The development of the platform, accessible online via the student intranet, will provide comprehensive resources (educational, interactive, workshops, consultations, events) for managing health and well-being in 2025.
During the 2023-2024 year, more than 8,000 consultations were carried out by the medical team in place, including :
4,500 medical consultations
1,700 psychological support consultations
1,200 social action consultations
600 preventive medical visits
