The Pôle Universitaire d'Innovation MED'INNOV officially launched its Marine Network on October 16 at the Hôtel Le Saint Paul in Nice, on the occasion of the annual seminar of the Institut Fédératif de Recherche Ressources Marines (IFR MARRES) of the Université Côte d'Azur.

A kick-off event bringing together marine industry players from the Côte d'Azur region

This event brought together numerous players in the marine world and innovation in the Corso-Azurean region: researchers, entrepreneurs, students, innovation support structures, competitiveness clusters, foundations and institutional representatives, with the participation of Cécile Sabourault, Vice-President of International Development and Europe at Université Côte d'Azur and representative of IFR MARRES. The kick-off provided an opportunity to present the vocation of the new PUI MED'INNOV Marine Network, its ambitions and the numerous opportunities it offers its members in terms of scientific collaboration, technology transfer and research valorization.

This meeting between the various players in the field enabled members to :
  • bring together researchers, companies, startups, student entrepreneurs, associations, local authorities and NGOs around key themes
  • identify opportunities for collaboration (services, CIFRE theses, LabCom, industrial chairs, etc.)
  • lay the foundations of a dynamic network serving Innovation in the Corso-Azurean region.

PUI MED'INNOV would like to extend its warmest thanks to all the participants and partner structures for their commitment and sharing of experience:IFR MARRES and its MSc MARRES, Université de Toulon, Recherche et Avenir, Pôle Mer Méditerranée, Recherche et Avenir, startups DareWin Evolution and Cosma, Institut de la Mer de Villefranche (IMEV), Plateforme Stella Mare, UniCA Entreprendre, ReShell, and the Open C Foundation.

The various presentations highlighted the wealth of initiatives underway in the marine field: applied research projects, innovative technological solutions and entrepreneurial approaches committed to a sustainable blue economy. Their contributions illustrated the vitality and complementarity of marine innovation players in the Corso-Azurean region.

Lastly, the Réseau Marin meetings will be held twice a year, at different locations in the Côte d'Azur region, to promote local dynamics and networking between players in the fields of research and blue water innovation.
