At a time when the whole world is meeting at UNOC 2025 (June 09-13, 2025) to rethink the future of the ocean, the MSc MARRES is already shaking things up by training professionals capable of taking concrete action for the ocean of tomorrow.
Preserving the ocean, innovating for tomorrow, finding concrete solutions: The MSc MARRES is part of a dynamic of excellence, training professionals committed to preserving marine environments and developing sustainable solutions.
An international, interdisciplinary program
Since its creation in 2018, the MSc MARRES has already welcomed over 130 students from 45 different nationalities. This unique interdisciplinary training program is designed to meet the growing needs of professionals in laboratories, Non-Governmental Organizations, administrations and industries committed to the ecological transition of the oceans.
A choice of three career paths, tailored to the aspirations and profiles of students and professionals alike
MSc MARRES - Science and Society
A two-year program designed for graduates with 3 years of higher education who wish to combine natural sciences with socio-economic sciences applied to the ocean. The program prepares students for a career in research - around a third of graduates go on to a doctorate - conservation, environmental consulting, biotechnology or entrepreneurship.
MSc MARRES - Blue Managers
A 1-year program, accessible at Master 2 level or through specialized training, designed for professionals wishing to reorient their careers towards sustainable development linked to the blue offer. It offers two specializations: marine conservation management and marine resource development through entrepreneurship and innovation.
MARRES Science Booster
A 60-hour online certification program providing a solid grounding in ecology, biology and oceanography. It is aimed at a wide range of profiles, from curious high-school students to retraining professionals. Sessions are also organized to deepen knowledge.
