To coincide with the UN Ocean Summit (UNOC) in June 2025, the Université Côte d'Azur is mobilizing its scientific and cultural community to offer an unmissable event for the general public: the Festival des Sciences Océan, from May 3 to 5, 2025, in the heart of Nice.

On this occasion, researchers from the Côte d'Azur, science outreach associations, museums, metropolitan and city services and companies will meet schoolchildren and the general public in the heart of Nice to talk about scientific research.

Free admission
Three days to explore the ocean differently :

  • May 3 & 4 - Days open to all: interactive activities, workshops, meetings with researchers, exhibitions, shows and surprises for young and old.
  • May 5 - A day dedicated to schoolchildren: a fun and educational immersion in the major issues surrounding the ocean.

Why such an event dedicated to marine sciences?

- To make science and research related to marine resources accessible and attractive to as many people as possible.

- To give schoolchildren and visitors the chance to experiment and manipulate.

- Bring together all those involved in scientific mediation

- Share the latest scientific advances with the public

- Promote the diversity of research conducted on the Côte d'Azur

This festival is a unique opportunity to raise awareness, inspire wonder and promote dialogue between science, culture and society around a crucial issue: the future of our oceans.
