ExAdEx-Innov, a startup supported by Université Côte d'Azur's IdEx Innovation Program, was present at the L'Oréal Innovation Village during WC13 in Rio.

Startup ExAdEx-Innov took part in the World Congress on Alternatives and Animal Use in the Life Sciences (WC13), held in Rio de Janeiro from August 31 to September 4, 2025.

Atthe L'Oréal Innovation Village, ExAdEx-Innov presented its ex vivo human tissue models, an innovative vascularized, functional technology that is viable for up to 8 weeks, providing an ethical and predictive alternative to animal experimentation.

This participation was the occasion for numerous meetings and fruitful exchanges with the international scientific and industrial community, notably around potential collaborations in Brazil and beyond.

Recognized both by the Descroix-Vernier Prize for Ethics and Science (Pro Anima Committee) and by its selection as part of L'Oréal's Innovation Village, ExAdEx-Innov has established itself as a major player at the crossroads of research, industrial innovation and scientific ethics. A product of academic research, the startup has benefited from the support of the IdEx Innovation Program of Université Côte d'Azur, via two calls for projects: "Start-Up Deeptech", designed to support projects for the creation of innovative Deeptech companies linked to the research of IdEx partner teams, and "Partenariat Innovation", aimed at fostering cooperation between academic laboratories and companies.
