The 2026 edition of the QS World University Rankings, published on June 19, 2025 by the British company Quacquarelli Symonds, confirms the progression of Université Côte d'Azur on the international scene. Once again this year, 35 French universities feature in the world rankings, 13 of which have improved - among them, Université Côte d'Azur has strengthened its position in several strategic indicators.
World ranking
Université Côte d'Azur is now ranked 688 in the world, up 52 places on the previous ranking and confirming its stability in an increasingly competitive environment.Significantly improved results in several areas:
- International research network: remarkable progress, from 352nd to 288th place worldwide.
- Sustainability: a significant leap from 549th to 326th place worldwide, reflecting the university's commitment to ecological transition.
- International student ratio: the university maintains its excellent momentum, ranking 402nd worldwide and 11th nationally.
- New for 2026: the "International Students Diversity" indicator is introduced this year, and Université Côte d'Azur is directly ranked 367th worldwide and 9th nationally.
On a national scale
Université Côte d'Azur ranks 18th nationally (up 3 places on the previous ranking):
- 5th in France for sustainability,
- 10th for international teaching staff,
- 17th for academic reputation and international research network.
