A symbolic start to the academic year to mark the University's 60th anniversary

As it celebrates 60 years of history and innovation, Université Côte d'Azur confirms its status as a Grand Établissement and its international roots. Involved in scientific diplomacy around the ocean during UNOC3, the University is also pursuing its cooperation with countries in the South, and is already preparing its contribution to COP30. It has also maintained its ranking in the Shanghai ranking despite increased competition, consolidating its place as one of the world's leading research-intensive universities.

Training: new offerings and enhanced support

With over 103,000 confirmed applications on Parcoursup and almost 57,300 in Master's programs, Université Côte d'Azur is attracting ever more students. To facilitate their integration, the Student Passport has become a central tool for supporting first-time undergraduates. Two new Master's programs have been added to the range:
  • Master's in Environmental and Transition Journalism (JET), to train journalists in ecological issues,
  • the Immersive and Interactive Practices Master (P2I), focusing on digital creation and immersive realities.
Another milestone is the opening of the Pharmacy Department in Nice, which will make the University a key player in the training of tomorrow's pharmacists.

Student life: health, solidarity and inclusion

The start of the new academic year is also marked by a number of new features designed to enhance student well-being:
  • Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training,
  • teleconsultation and practical workshops,
  • strengthening of solidarity initiatives with the dressing room and solidarity fridges,
  • extension of welcome mentoring to combat isolation and facilitate the integration of first-time students.

Research and innovation: a reinforced course

The year 2025 also marks the implementation of the Contract of Objectives, Means and Performance (COMP), which reinforces the scientific visibility and territorial impact of Université Côte d'Azur. Partnership chairs, such as those on aromas and perfumes in Grasse and water management in the Alpes-Maritimes, testify to the establishment's determination to act as closely as possible to local issues.

Modernization and partnerships

Despite tight budgetary constraints, the University is continuing its efforts to simplify administrative procedures and modernize its campuses, notably through innovative systems such as the heat loop. Strengthening partnerships with local authorities, socio-economic players and alumni networks will help support projects and help students succeed.

With these new features, Université Côte d'Azur confirms its ambition to build a modern, open and committed university, serving its region and the international community.
