Published in the journal *Systems Biology and Applications* on July 13, 2026, the research by Jeremie Roux at the Institute of Molecular and Cellular Pharmacology shows that the effectiveness of a treatment depends on the precise molecular state of each cell at the time it is administered, opening up new possibilities for more personalized medicine.
Not all patients respond to treatment in the same way, and this variability can also be explained at the cellular level. Research conducted by Jeremie Roux’s team at the Institute of Molecular and Cellular Pharmacology (Université Côte d'Azur, CNRS, Inserm) reveals that a cell’s molecular state at the time of administration plays a decisive role in a drug’s efficacy.
These findings shed new light on the mechanisms underlying treatment responses and pave the way for more precise and personalized therapeutic approaches.
