On March 10, the College of Art and Design Schools at Université Côte d’Azur convened at the Valrose campus to bring together the heads of the university’s art schools and engage in a collective discussion on potential directions for an action plan for 2026.

This event highlights the richness of the university’s artistic ecosystem and the pivotal role its art schools play in the development of the Cultural and Creative Industries (CCI) by supporting emerging talent, fostering artistic experimentation, and helping to advance cultural and professional practices.

With several institutions dedicated to artistic creation and design, Université Côte d’Azur boasts a particularly rich artistic ecosystem that fully contributes to its academic and cultural identity.

The diversity of disciplines represented—visual arts, design, contemporary creation, performing arts, and curatorial practices—attests to the vitality of the artistic programs offered within the university. This network serves as a major driver for the development of the cultural and creative industries (CCI) , a strategic sector that combines creation, innovation, and regional development.

The College of Art and Design Schools plays a key role in this regard: it facilitates exchanges between institutions, strengthens cooperation, and structures joint projects in support of an ambitious cultural policy.

These discussions have identified several areas of focus for the coming months, particularly regarding enhancing the visibility of art schools, developing shared artistic projects, and strengthening their contribution to the cultural and creative momentum driven by Université Côte d’Azur.
