Em Connect

Université Côte d'Azur strengthens its commitment to digital inclusion by partnering for the first time with the Emmaüs Connect association. On December 4, 20 refurbished computer kits were handed out to students in precarious social and digital situations, identified by the University's social workers.

These computers have been donated by local companies committed to a responsible approach to renewing their IT fleets. Thanks to the LaCollecte.tech, created by Emmaüs Connect, the equipment has been fully reconditioned: secure data erasure, system upgrades, installation of current software... Each computer comes with a two-year warranty.

An innovative response to student insecurity

The aim of this unprecedented partnership is to offer a concrete solution to the problem of students dropping out of school and to promote academic success, by providing reliable equipment to students who need it most. This initiative is in line with the shared desire of Emmaüs Connect and Université Côte d'Azur to improve access to digital tools, which have become essential for studying, communicating and completing administrative formalities.

Since its launch in the PACA region in 2022, LaCollecte.tech has already collected more than 80,000 items of equipment and supported over 13,500 beneficiaries in digital solidarity structures.

A complementary scheme to the University's solidarity initiatives

LaCollecte.tech completes the range of initiatives already put in place by the Université Côte d'Azur to support its students: opening of a solidarity dressing room on the Carlone campus, installation of solidarity fridges in Nice and Cannes to combat food insecurity, self-help actions and eco-responsible initiatives...

With this new partnership, the University continues to deploy a global social policy based on solidarity, equal opportunities and support for the most vulnerable.
