On European Data Protection Day on January 28, Université Côte d’Azur is highlighting two forward-looking programs dedicated to governance, compliance, and personal data protection—skills that are essential in today's digital transformation: the Master's in Algorithmic Law and Data Governance and the University Diploma in DPO – Digital Compliance.

Master's Degree in Business Law - Algorithmic Law and Data Governance

The Master's Degree in Algorithmic Law and Data Governance was created to meet the growing demand for specialized legal expertise in the digital field, in a context of rapid transformation of public and private organizations, marked by the rise of artificial intelligence, data protection, and digital systems governance.

A unique program in France
This Master's program stands out in the field of digital law in France, combining public and private digital law, an introduction to technical environments, and an openness to the economic and industrial challenges of digital technology, with courses that are rare, if not unique, in France. Backed by the Alexandre Koyré 3IA Chair, the Deep Law for Deep Technologies program, and FabLex, it is closely linked to contemporary scientific and technological developments.
Target profiles
The Master's 1 level of the program is aimed at holders of a Bachelor's degree in law or another equivalent degree, and the Master's level is aimed at holders of a Master's 1 in law. They are selected for their solid legal background and their interest in digital issues.
Diverse career opportunities
The Master's in Algorithmic Law and Data Governance prepares students for careers in government, business, healthcare, finance, insurance, law firms, and regulatory authorities, particularly in the fields of data protection, digital law, artificial intelligence, algorithmic auditing, and digital compliance. Highly professionalizing, the master's program responds to a clearly expressed demand from employers and is fully in line with European data protection issues.

DPO – Digital Compliance University Diploma

The university diploma combines solid theoretical training in digital law and data protection with a highly practical approach focused on the duties of the Data Protection Officer (DPO), compliance, and risk management. It thus provides lifelong learning in a rapidly evolving field that has faced legislative inflation over the past five years.
Target profiles
The University Diploma in DPO – Digital Compliance is primarily aimed at professionals, whether currently employed or retraining, as part of their continuing education, as well as students with a four-year degree seeking initial training.

Career opportunities
The DU prepares students for careers in legal defense and consulting and legal collaboration in the fields of digital law, data protection, and compliance.
