"Sur les bancs de la fac 2025": the start of a new school year for seniors

On Thursday, November 06, at the Chateau Theater on the Valrose campus, the seniors of the "Sur les bancs de la Fac" program returned to school, and the previous class received their honorary certificates.

This year, the program welcomes 130 new seniors for training, an increase of 27% compared to 2024. Over a hundred courses are offered over the 2 semesters. Courses are delivered on 4 campuses: Carlone, Saint Jean d'Angély, Trotabas and STAPS.The seniors were welcomed by the President of Université Côte d'Azur, Jeannick Brisswalter, and the Mayor of Nice, who also presented honorary certificates to 52 auditors from the previous class.
About the "Sur les bancs de la fac" program
In order to offer seniors the opportunity to learn, nurture their intellectual curiosity and maintain an active social link, in a 100% intergenerational environment, Université Côte d'Azur, the City of Nice and the Nice Côte d'Azur Metropolis have been running the "Sur les bancs de la Fac" program since 2021, aimed at people aged 55 and over. The aim of the program is to encourage access to knowledge through lectures given in various components of the Université Côte d'Azur, which they can attend alongside students with the status of free auditor.
