Université Côte d'Azur has made health and well-being a priority area of action, with the launch of the "UniCA promotrice de santé durable" project. This ambitious initiative aims to bring about a lasting transformation in university life by placing health at the heart of the institution's policies and practices.
On Friday September 26, at the Valrose campus theater, the launch ceremony was attended by Jeanick Brisswalter, President of the University, Fabienne D'Arripe Longueville, Vice-President of Human Resources, and David Darmon, Vice-President of Health Policy.Arripe Longueville, Vice-President Human Resources, and David Darmon, Vice-President Health Policy, underlining the commitment of the governance and the collective dimension of this project.
A local, national and international ambition
UniCA, a promoter of sustainable health, is an ambitious project:
international collaboration with the Universités Promotrices de Santé (UPS) network;
commitment to the creation of a national network of UPS in France ;
adherence to the principles of the Okanagan Charter (2015);
research support, to reinforce the impact and innovation of our actions.
A multi-year project to serve the community
Based on a solid assessment of the current situation and the many initiatives already in place, this project aims to strengthen and coordinate health actions covering the entire continuum: from promotion and prevention to care. In this respect, the University Health Center plays an essential role.
A collective dynamic for a strong commitment
This project owes its success to the commitment of the entire university community, in a collective dynamic driven by governance.At the launch of the project, the President signed a commitment to adhere to the Okanagan Charter, confirming Université Côte d'Azur's determination to mobilize all university policies around three structuring commitments:
create environments conducive to health and well-being;
deploy an accessible, coordinated and appropriate healthcare offer;
strengthening impact through cooperation and research.
With this project, Université Côte d'Azur affirms its commitment to being a responsible and innovative university, placing health and well-being at the heart of its identity and actions.
