On March 13, 2026, Université Côte d’Azur gathered its doctoral students at the Antipolis Convention Center in Antibes Juan-les-Pins for a graduation ceremony. It was an opportunity to recognize their achievements, their scientific dedication, and their contributions to research.

The doctoral graduation ceremony at the Antipolis Convention Center was attended by Jeanick Brisswalter, President of Université Côte d'Azur, and Alexandra Borchio Fontimp, Senator for the Alpes-Maritimes department and Departmental Councilor for Antibes Juan-les-Pins.

This prestigious event honored 170 doctoral graduates of the Class of 2025, surrounded by their families and friends, for their years of hard work, perseverance, and contribution to scientific research. The doctorate, the highest degree in French higher education, embodies the commitment and expertise of doctoral students in scientific output and economic development.

In 2025, Université Côte d’Azur has 1,250 doctoral students from 45 countries, spread across 50 research units. Each year, approximately 250 students defend their theses, contributing to the institution’s scientific vitality.

The ceremony was an opportunity to celebrate the excellence and dedication of these young researchers and to highlight their essential role in the university’s scientific and academic development.
