The partnership agreement was signed on February 6, 2024 on the Valrose campus to encourage and raise awareness of blood donation among Université Côte d'Azur students and employees.

With over 500 million procedures performed each year, EFS is France's largest medical biology laboratory. The Établissement Français du Sang (EFS) is present throughout the country, with 129 sites, to be as close as possible to donors and patients, and to convey unrivalled values.
To meet the challenge of self-sufficiency, Université Côte d'Azur and EFS PACA CORSE are joining forces to strengthen local initiatives to promote blood donation. In this way, blood donation helps to build and strengthen social and territorial ties.

Cooperation to promote blood donation among students and staff

Under the terms of the agreement, Université Côte d'Azur undertakes to make rooms available free of charge for blood drives, and to promote blood donation by setting up information stands in Université Côte d'Azur facilities during university periods.
For its part, the Établissement français du sang (French Blood Establishment) has undertaken to offer a voluntary service to Université Côte d'Azur students to promote blood donation or, more specifically, a blood drive within a component via the "Engagement Citoyen" scheme, and to ensure follow-up.

Université Côte d'Azur's mission is to train students and citizens to be responsible and aware of public health concerns. This agreement will make it easier for our students and staff to donate blood, thanks to more frequent blood drives. It will also make it possible to create a commitment mission to encourage communication and promotion of blood donation on our various campuses.
