Université Côte d'Azur has decided to move away from its experimental status and become a Grand Établissement. This change of status validates the modern and innovative transformation undertaken by Université Côte d'Azur since 2020.
After being awarded the coveted Initiative d'excellence label in January 2016, ranking it among France's research-intensive universities, Université Côte d'Azur was created in January 2020 as an Etablissement Public Expérimental, fostering the development of a bold, autonomous strategy based on :
1. decompartmentalizing education, research and innovation,
2. the development of greater autonomy for components to implement the establishment's policy,
3. the ability to exploit the potential of the diversity represented by all its members and partners.
Strengthened by the conviction that this model works, by a desire to stabilize it and by the need to clarify its legal status internationally, Université Côte d'Azur requested the exit from the experimental regime in accordance with the decree of December 12, 2018. Since the decree published on July 16, 2024, Université Côte d'Azur has become a Grand Établissement. This change in status validates the modern and innovative transformation undertaken by Université Côte d'Azur since 2020.
- For undergraduates, gradual specialization and support for success. Courses for the very best students, such as CPES (Cycles Pluridisciplinaires d'Études Supérieures) and double bachelor's degrees,
- At Master's level, the creation of university research schools means that training is based on the latest research from our laboratories,
- Diplomas with an excellent integration rate of 82% at 12 months for bachelor's degrees and 90% at 12 months for master's degrees,
- Entrepreneurship training to meet the needs of students who are increasingly tempted by the adventure of setting up their own business,
- An enriching student life: a rich and unique cultural offering thanks to the college of art schools that make up Université Côte d'Azur.
Over the past 10 years, Université Côte d'Azur has become a driving force in the region, offering training programs tailored to local needs. It is the winner of several “Compétences et Métiers d'Avenir - CMA” accredited projects in strategic sectors: EFELIA for AI training, FICCTION for cultural and creative industries, QuantEdu-France for quantum technology and SaNuRN for digital health.
